I had a brand new oven installed for my tenants July 2014 They have informed me that it is now not working. I sent an electrician round to take a look and he says three elements are not working. In his opinion they have allowed something to boil over as he said the hob was in a mess. The warranty on the oven is now out of date. Am I responsible for the repair which will be costly.

But it doesn't seem like this appliance is fit for purpose, and I would take it up with the supplier, but you are still going to have to fix it.

Next time when you relet, remove it, or sell it to them for £5, then they might look after it.
