Now my nightmare tenant is gone and the property will be ready in the next few days to go back on the market.  Its been almost 4 years since I've had to put a property on the market and I noticed this service (OpenRent Rent Now).

For the extra money it looks good and the referencing for each tenant is £20.  They told me the deposit and prescribed info is emailed to both me and the tenant along with current how to rent booklet.  All I have to do is email them the EPC and gas certificate and they use E-signatures to confirm everything.  If I don't like the reference or the tenant all I lose is my £20 and we just start over again.  Then for £55 I can get rent insurance for the term.

Has anyone used this service and was it worth the extra money?  I just that extra piece of mind

No, but I have used Upad's Basic Package... I do like that. I've not had to pay for my own referencing as of yet... so I'm unsure how things have changed in the last few months or so.

This Basic Package often needs searching for... it's not something they seem to punt to you... they like you to take UChoose, I think.

Yes, have just used Rent Now to find a tenant and found the service excellent.

I've used both Upad and OpenRent, both awesome services.

I wouldn't hesitate to use the Rent Now package, so go for it.

In regards to rent insurance, I think it's worth it for new tenants.

If after a year or so the tenant has proved to be reliable, you can choose not to renew it.

£55 for peace of mind seems like a bargain!
