I wonder what percentage of those were dangerous when let, and how many have become dangerous because tenants have mistreated the property or failed to inform the landlord/agent of issues. As usual, that aspect doesn't get mentioned.

Thing is, it's not just landlords that provide dangerous homes. People actually live in unsafe properties they own. And some even willing to rent dangerous properties.

That article is a bit tough on landlord, it masks the bigger issue. Either way, landlords should provide safe housing.
