Where to start, the tenant is in police custody awaiting trial on thursday, we have been informed by the police that the chances are he will be set to prison for 18mths/ 2yrs. Looking for help on what to do next, if he is unwilling to surrender the prpoerty (via his solicitor) it looks like we need to serve section 8 but as he's already locked up do we just post the notice at the property or give them to his solitor, anyone any ideas? feeling a bit out of our depth !

Change the locks try and get his stuff to his family/friends.

is he still in contract or can you serve notice?
