I can across the E.ON Landlord Service today. "30 days free energy whilst your empty properties are supplied by E.ON" sounds attractive, I guess they're hoping that lethargy by the next tenant means that the tenant is then more likely to stay with E.ON.

Has anyone used it? If so what did you think of it?

And has anyone come across anyone else offering anything similar?

Do they have a standing charge I wonder?  Seems a bit of a gimmick as I wouldn't want my empty property using much if any electricity.

That thought crossed my mind too. I suspect it's only the energy used. If you have to keep the heating ticking over to keep your insurers happy it might be worth it mind you.

We have used this and they were as good as their word. Property was empty but accrued a small number of units due to the fridge etc. being left running but no charge.

I found this out the other day - only after i rang them when my property had been empty 10 days so missed out a bit there, but still worth having. no standing charge
