Tenant just moved after 12 years. He cooked authentic curries on the stove. He left the place reasonably clean, deposit returned in full. The curry smell lingers, despite repainting throughout.new cooker, carpets and curtains all cleaned.I thought we had cracked it when we found a thick layer of greasy dirt on the  top of the kitchen wall units, which reeked of curry when scrubbed.Bit better, but still smells.First viewings due soon, should I just go mad with Febreze and hope for the best?

Cut up onions and leave them lying around for 24 hours.  They do absorb odours.

I know this is a bit late but I'm new on here.
Been having the same problem with curry smell in EVERYTHING. Scrubbed stuff and didn't work.
Yesterday I decided to coat all windows in windowlene to stop arsehole neighbours poking their noses in every five minutes whilst I'm ripping bathroom out ( another story) . Walked in today and the smell has GONE. Convinced it's the eyewatering windowlene!!
