Considering going self managed with the property we currently own. What things need to be changed? Does anyone need to be informed? I'm thinking deposit scheme.or anything? As I write this I'm realising a simple internet search might tell me but others experience would help I'm sure.

Always nice to ask on a forum.  Not much change I'm guessing but do you know where the deposit is right now? If it's not been done properly by the agent it's still your responsibility.

Make sure the rent goes to you... 

Get a bigger vault at Gringotts, for all the extra cash you'd been previously giving away to the charity Letting Agent.

Ensure the Tenants know, and agree, that they will have no future contact with the Letting Agent... and definitely have your contact details to-hand.

Sort out deposit. Figure out whether you need a new AST of your own.

Formally tell the Letting Agent and see how they kick-off... attempt to punish you or attempt to bribe you with a better deal. Could be easy... could be harder than you think.
