Am I right in thinking a section 21 notice can be a free form letter and that the set laid out format is only applicable for tenancies after October 2015? If so is this the full list of "dos"
So long as the notice to quit includes the following is this all that is required legally?
1. Landlord name and address (correctly spelled)
2 tenant/s name and address.  (correctly spelled)
3 Quote section 21 housing act 1988
4 Period of notice and date property has to be vacated 

My case is a statutory periodic assured tenancy the initial tenancy being 1st March 2014 to 31st August 2014.

Websites with differing section 21 notices are confusing and of course some are charging money for a simple template.
