Hello all. Nice to find an online resource for landlord advice. What brought me here is that I need to find a good Letting Agent / Property Manager that's based in SE London. Hoping for some recommendations here. I have a property that I wish to rent out longterm. As I'm leaving the country to live abroad it won't be possible for me to always be on call to look after it myself.

I've previously had one useless agent, which ended up in me having to return to the UK to fix everything that they messed up. Then had to deal with a redress scheme to get my fees etc back. Despite getting the fees back this was still expensive for me and a huge waste of time. Not something I'd like to deal with again. It seems to be a lot more difficult than I'd of thought to find decent help. I've since had two other agents - one which messed everything up from the get go so I decided it best to ditch them quickly given my previous experience, and now another who appeared to be more on the ball initially but hasn't been able to find any tenants for the past two months (..it's an attractive property and reasonably priced).

If anyone has any good experiences with a reasonbly priced and reliable Letting Agent / Property Manager within South East London I'd very much appreciate any pointers. It's beginning to feel like a bad joke while getting let down at every turn. Perhaps I'm asking for too much to expect any decent level of service at a reasonable price.. But I hope not.
