As per title, my property has 3 fully glazed door which I understand are not permitted in rentals. Can I simply cover the bottom half of the door with timber (both sides) to make them safe?

Thanks for reading.

Could we have the full context for this question please?

My immediate reaction on reading this was to wonder whether you're in a HHSRS situation, in which case it's possible that your tenant has reported you to the local authority.

No Tenant in yet, just purchased house and in the process of improving it.

Ah, OK, sounds as if all is well.  Fully glazed doors are normally things like external doors onto a patio or decked area?

Normally, if you're not in a HHSRS situation, you don't need to replace glazed doors immediately unless they're dangerous (e.g. at the bottom of a flight of steps) or a privacy issue (no glazed doors to the bathroom please).  When you do replace them as part of your scheduled maintenance programme you'd either turn them into semi-glazed doors, or else use safety glass.
