The local council have divided our town house into two properties - ground floor studio and 1st/2nd floor maisonette.  Now have to pay 2 lots of council tax but the property has not been split into two addresses, i.e. 1 and 1a.  The tenants pay an all inclusive rent which includes TV Licence, will one licence be sufficient or do we now have to get two?

I would have thought that 1 and 1a would class as two separate addresses, so therefore each would require its own TV Licence.

I must admit that as the landlady I never get involved with tenants and TV Licensing.  They are responsible for their own utility bills according to the tenancy agreements I have with them, so they are also responsible for buying their own TV Licences.
