Hi all,

We have received a letter from the house next door that are looking to do some work and need to put a water drangae on our property. They have also mentioned that that are doing this because they are opening the house up for temporary homeless housing.

This is obviously a big shock to hear, do I have any rights as a home owner to contest this or should I have been notified sooner, I just think this will impact the property due to it been a small row of terrace houses.

You don't say whether you rent your place out,or if it is your own home. Either way, you would be wise to find out more. The charity in question must have a website,have you checked it out to ascertain how they operate? There are a lot of reasons for people to be made homeless,and many of them will be unlikely to impact on your life.Others unfortunately could cause problems,.You need to get more information,including the number of people that will be housed there.Based on what you find out,you will know whether you have cause to raise an objection.
