I have given my tenants 6 weeks notice to leave as I am selling my property. A week after I have given them notice they have decided that they are going to leave before the end of the month so that they don't need to pay rent. They have given me 4 days notice. Where do I stand in regards to rent. I was under the impression that the notice would work both ways and they would be liable to pay the rent for at least 28 days notice. This is in Scotland under the new leases

yes you are probably right , but look at it the other way you have your property back ,

I agree with Spuds,it would be greatly worse if they were refusing to get out.One of those many things that one just has to let go,unfortunately.
