Hi
Can anyone recommend a good company to get contents only insurance cover please?

Jeremy

Hello Jaybag,

Sorry, but I don't get the question.  If it's for the contents of your rented-out houses then it will be far cheaper to use your existing buildings insurer.  No other insurer will want the costs of setting up a new policy for the "tail end" of your risk.

If it's for your tenant's then there are loads of contents only deals availble to people who rent.  A visit to the likes of moneyupermarket.com will see them sorted.

If I've got the wrong end of the stick, let me know.

Thanks for the reply,
Sorry it that didn't make sense,I have a flat I am renting to a tenant and now my current landlord insurance deal is coming to an end and would like to know if anyone knows of any company's offering good deals on contents only.I don't need to get building insurance as that is covered in my maintenance charge-hope this makes sense

Hello jaybag

Sorry for my tardy reply.

I think I get it now.  It's for the fixtures, appliances and / or furnishings you supply.

I can't recommend how good these people are as I;ve never dealt with them as a landlord, but I know Endsleigh are good at policies which have low sums insured (one of their specialities is students and nurses), as it's similar to what they specialise in, maybe they can help out?

Hoe this helps.  Let us know how you get on.
