Tenant moves in. Signs no pets.

Neighbour informs me she has a dog. I inform agent. Say dog can stay if extra clauses added for cleaning etc.

When she leaves, turns out, she (a) removed all the internal doors and stored them off site somewhere, never mind the fire regs or anything and (b) the place is infested with FLEAS!

Seriously, people if you find out the tenant has lied, get rid as soon as possible. I'm not paying for the fumigation, but now the new tenant thinks I am some sort of slumlord.

I am FURIOUS. If I could I would give her a terrible reference, but she is no longer renting, so I can't.

Absolutely fuming.

Who is paying for the fumigation? The ex-Tenant, I hope? Has that been agreed?
