Hi there,

During my years of being a landlord it has become apparent that there aren't many easy to use online services that enable you to organise your portfolio and tenant information. Owning an online business myself, I am currently making a service with my acquaintances to make business easier for the 'do it yourself' landlords. After all why give a chunk of your income to agencies when the process can be made easier? If you want to know the address where you can sign up for an invite when it's ready to go, let me know :)

Any comments or answers to the following questions would be much appreciated.

What would you expect landlord software to accomplish for you?

Do any of you use existing services?

Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy.

I'd be interested.

Not got started yet, but from research I think something that incorporates the entire start to finish journey would be great. Then on going things. Have a look at the example online service that your move do, think you'll get some good ideas.

A database with reminders on.

Deposit stuff
Rent due dates and email alerts if late, when due
Safety check reminders
Service reminders
Contemporaneous memo pad for recording contacts
Property P&L
A capital cost archive ( when its like 10 years on you forget what you spent)
Historic contact details of past tenants
Scanned legal stuff, inventory, etc
Management of applications when void
Some sort of rolling refurbishment program, i.e. kitchen every 10 years, boiler every 15 etc etc

Cant think of anything else.

I would be too lazy to input all the data required, but I would like to have this...

Can you let us know when you've done this?
