I knew that there was a shortage of affordable rentals in many areas,but the response to my current vacant flat has astonished me.The last time I had an empty place was Jan.'22. I had 3 applicants.The chosen one is still there. Next door,identical,now on at £100 more has had loads of applications.With one exception,they are all good quality people.I know it can change again,but for today I am glad I decided to not panic and hang on in there.

Out of interest how are you party to the details about next door's applicants?

It's a bit scary. Where I let most of my properties, there is no property to rent within a three mile search. None at all.
