I am selling a flat.  The Managing Agents have always looked for ways of maximising their income.   My solicitor has asked them to forward the lease details to him.  They have written back saying they require £200 plus VAT for this service.   Could anyone advise me whether this is usual and or fair?

Probably usual, not fair.  I'm guessing that's the only place to get them?

I found an article from the Guardian which said that agents can charge whatever they want.   So I guess I am going to have to pay it.   Thanks for your reply.
