Hey guys,
A friend of mine who has just recently bought the house we are living in and we can't change the electric suppliers as the building is registered as a business.
The previous owners who used to rent out this house were unaware of this.
Does anyone have any ideas how we can change this?

Thanks

You do not give enough of a reason... do you mean just because a business is registered there, or do you mean it's on some kind of special business-only tariff whereby there's a true fixed term, and you can't change it yet? I would think common sense would prevail here... there's obviously a supplier... you talk to them and understand what the blocker is. If they need things like proof of ownership and stuff like that then it is easy to get - I don't know what they'd ask for - but, again, ask them. If they're saying that the special tariff this business elected to use had something like a two-year contract agreement to get it... then maybe it is cast-iron, but it's hard to imagine how a utility supplier would lock a property in perpetually. I think you need to be speaking to the utility provider, not the Internet.
