Dear Landlords of the UK,

there is this amazing man with his amazing young wife. They need a home.
They lost everything because the wife has become very ill with cancer.
Fighting for her life, she was in many hospitals. And her husband eventually was unable to keep up the life that they had.
They were evicted from their home a couple of months ago. They have been apart for over a year now.
Now the wife is finally able to come home - but there is no place to come home to.
It is impossible to find a place to rent. "DSS not allowed" is the sentence that sticks in the husband's mind.
No one wants to rent to someone "like him". And no one knows the amazing strength the husband had over the last years. The hope that was crushed and built up again. The fear for the life of his loved one. The shame he felt when their home was taken away from them.
The fight that the husband fought. The many times he had to be stronger than a lion when he talked to his wife just to not worry her.

So we, his friends... we want to help him find a home, where his wife can come home to.
If you have a place to rent and if you are (at least until these two have found their feet) willing to accept that they are on housing benefit, please let us know. The one thing we know is that you will get the warmest, most loving, most incredible, inspiring people as renters that you will ever meet. Your rent will be paid by the council every month - so there will be no defaults.

Please if there is anyone out there who can help - please, please contact us. We want to help make sure that the young wife has a home to come back to.

Is there anyone out there who has a heart for these two people? And perhaps a place to rent?
