I am sure this must have been covered but can't find it., I have had the my house totally distroyed , it is a 2 bed house fully furnished,  how can I estimate cost,  would not be too bad if I was re letting but as I have had to move back in I have not had to go out to buy new , but am refitting to my taste  so carpet etc are more expensive ones, would have only replaced  a couple of internal doors but have done all. What I am trying to get at is I don't have invoices to prove my losses

You are holding back something.

You do have invoices for doors.

You do have invoices for carpets.

You have an inventory of items, and the internet to give you current replacement costs.

What more do you want?

The fact you have moved back in should not matter. Doors need to match, Carpets come in different quality and price. What you paid is the replacement cost. If you feel its no like for like it is quite acceptable to take an arbitary sum away, ie less say 20% to equate like for like...

Be sensible with how you estimate your losses and then issue a claim through MCOL.
