Just done a bank transfer and I hoped it would be instant. Most payments go through straight away but it's not showing in the account yet.

Anyone know how long before it shows?

Also on the prescribed information do you have to list every clause from the TA  that affects the deposit?

DPS can take 3 to 5 days, it's certainly not instant.

I would expect your AST to have section headers containing bunches of clauses?

I have section headers but they're not referenced. Just the individual clauses.

I'll go through them and list them all.

The site seems to let me produce the prescribed info document even though they haven't got the deposit. Is this right?

Also I've transferred the money by BT using the account details they provided. How do they know the money is mine? Does everyone get their own account number?

Sure, but nothing is holding you back from proceeding with the things you need to do.

Hmm, have you bothered to read anything? It's all laid-out for you in the DPS information... for example - "The most important part of the process is making the payment to us from your online banking provider. When you register with the DPS, you are assigned a unique set of DBT account details which you can use to make payments into your DBT account. This set of payment details are only ever used in relation to your DPS account so for this reason it is important to take great care to enter the details correctly when sending a payment. If your banking provider permits the saving of payment details, then we would encourage you to do so as any future DBT payments will be required to be made to the same sort code and account number. By saving the details, you will ensure that funds always reach your DPS account as quickly as possible.

You can locate your unique sort code and account number by selecting 'Summary' from the 'Payments' menu tab."
