Hello

I am a newbie and duly green- did make one post before and had much appreciated advice.

Agent asked  my limit (ie £150 or so) for them to authorise repairs without consulting me.

The agent tells me they wait until there are a few minor repairs rather than repair as they occur individually - sounds a nice theory but more than extremely unlikely!

Please can anyone advise - how do people get round it?

is it best to say I will organise  all repairs myself?

many thanks for any thoughts

Hippogriff

I would be tempted to say £0.

I'd like to authorise everything... but, then, I self-manage anyway.

I don't trust Agents... that is not because I'm naturally non-trusting. I don't trust Agents through painful experience.

Thanks very much - I was sort of heading that way but its good to have someone else actually voice it.

I have had a couple of nasty experiences with Agents, and I don't give them the time of day.

I tell my kids to be wary of four things in life

Fire
Water
Electricity
Property Agents.
