We inherited a property complete with sitting tenant in 2012. It is a shop with a 1bed flat above.The tenan has been in residence pre-1989 and continues to live in the flat.
It is a very old property (Georgian 1 bed flat above with separate entrance).
We don't have an EPC for the flat. Do we need legally need one immediately? I would imagine any EPC rating to ensure at the low end of the scale, possibly F?
We know we need one to sell the property or to rent to a new tenant in the future.
