Hello

I have 3 rooms to let to tenants, one will be a private let , the other two will be  claiming Housing Benefit.

I have received conflicting advice relating to my personal liability for paying the Council tax at the property.

My Council tax liability is approximately £135 per month

I want to reduce, and at best, eliminate my accountability for being liable for paying the Council Tax and transfer this between the tenants.

If the two tenants apply for Council Tax benefit, how does that affect the Council Tax liability on the property? 

Any advice greatly appreciated
