I like property

« on: May 16, 2020, 02:55:11 PM »

I have been sent this by our estate agent regarding one of our rental properties. According to the Internet it says itís only needed on a multi occupancy property. Can anybody advise if this is correct?

We hope you are well.
As you may be aware, electrical installation condition reports will be mandatory as of 1st July 2020, and once completed satisfactorily, will be required to be carried out every 5 years thereafter.
Please let us know if you would like us to arrange this to be carried out for you, we have sourced a local qualified electrician at a competitive rate.
The cost for completing this would be £150 (per 2 bed property)
If the check comes back as satisfactory, we will then be compliant. There may be still be some recommendations for upgrades and remedial work.
Should the inspection report come back as unsatisfactory, we will then be required to carry out the necessary upgrades and remedial work within 28 days.
If you have already carried out an electrical installation condition report less than 5 years ago, please kindly send us a copy of this, so that we can log it on our system. We will then flag when the 5 year term has expired and it is next due again.
