One halogen from the electric cooker doesn't work.
What do you think it's better to do? repair it? buy a new one cooker?
I bought the house 6 months ago and I don't live there because at the moment is more expensive for me to live there than to live a share house.
It's expensive for me to buy a new cooker right now.

Many thanks

Tell us a) the cost of a repair, then b) the cost of a new cooker. We will assume a 30 day warranty on the repair and at least a 1 year warranty on a new cooker, unless you know this too. After we know this information we will all be able to advise you in great detail.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to repair.

3's enough.

I would point out that "just leave it" wasn't one of the options we had to choose from.

Thank you so much for your replies.
Sorry for late reply, I haven't seen it until now.

I think the cooker is more than 10 years older: Hotpoint electric cooker model 6535.

To repair it, minimum £99.00 (if it possible)

To buy a new one, quite cheap but not the cheapest one, around £250.00

3rd option: yes, leave it like that, with 3 halogen (the tenants told me they are happy with this).

Many thanks,

You need to concentrate on building a contingency fund if £250 expensive for a job.
