It's been a growing concern now for so many years with landlords and letting agencies when they get bad tenants. A so called tenant black list has been around in America for a long time. But why can't we have one.

Because of the data protection act. I have many landlords that have lost more money than I can count to this problem the companies we have in the uk will write and ask for the tenants last reference.

Wouldn't it be good if there was a tenants black list in this country where landlords could register tenants on and search against prospective tenants.

A few months back I had a nearly full day discussion with the information commissioner's office.  From that we agreed a way in which we can produce a very large database of good and bad tenants. Hold that information for 6 years to allow landlords and letting agencies to use the information with new tenant applications.

We have worked with landlords over the last few months to build a service that's legal and meets the needs of the landlords

Please have a look at our website www.uklandlordregistry.co.uk

Our companies aim is to back up the landlord and protect him/her, provide you with all the information and help we can.
