I'll try not be a one hit wonder with my questions and comments. I found these threads very useful and hopefully can give some help back.

I own a flat in London. I am not meeting hmo license rule;
which is having to apply for a license if I am renting to two or more households.
So I want to allow my current Tennant to take in lodgers for the other two available  rooms; the flat has three rooms currently rented out as joint tennancy. The lease ends this month but one Tenant wants to sublet.
He has been with me for over a year and has been a blessing and I trust him (famous last words, I know).
I can't find anything dodgy regarding this.
The Tennant is effectively the live in landlord having lodgers.
As far as I can see; it's a win win.
The Tennant can evict the lodgers with reasonable notice for non payment for for anything else?
Any legalities I should be aware of?

The concession allowing two lodgers without the property becoming an HMO is only available to owner-occupiers. It would still be an HMO in the scenario you present.
