HI everyone  I really  need some advice for my mum.  We have a tenant  who won't  leave.  He's on the  dole  we get part money  from council  and he is meant to pay  the rest  he has not done  for two months.   He was given  notice  last month  and did  not  leave  he has been given  notice this month  and us due to leave  on Monday  but I don't  think he is.  He won't talk to my mum and when my mum goes around  his nasty sister lives next door and she has has a go at my mum saying she should  leave him alone because  he he has bipolar

Any help would be really great.  She's had to pay all bills that he's mentioned to have done

Firstly, take a deep breath.

Secondly, wait and see what happens on Monday.

Thirdly, if the problem still exists... what tenancy is the person on? Are they in a fixed term period or is the tenancy now 'rolling' / month-to-month / SPT? If the latter then issue a Section 21 (research that, it's simpler than it might first appear).

He's on a short  term  tenancy  6 months.  Been like that for the past year.  Mum has served  a notice  passed 3 months and he's still there.  She's had to cover water rates that is stated  in the contract  he has to pay.  Mum is not happy with section  21 as that means he gets another 2 months in the flat which is not fair if he's not paying rent.
