...although I might skip kissing Hippogriff under the virtual mistletoe. There's always such a queue.

HG, based on Lettly's previous posts here, it was about houses n' shit I'm afraid. On the OpenRent forum they post as Piglettly - but it's exactly the same advertising spiel; no mention of snogging you over there either.


Anyhow, a Merry Chrimbo and a Happy New Year to the Landlord Forum regulars (you know who you are).


I am going to have a particularly happy new year because I'm getting out of this landlording lark.

The flat (with the very pleasant tenant who went rogue, and who we S21'd) has now sold, and the house (inherited with lovely tenants, but an awful agent who we sacked and got money back) is going to be sold asap.

The house tenants decided that they don't love each other after all so moved out and went their separate ways today... yep Christmas Eve!

So, Mrs Handman and I have revised our Christmas plans, have relocated to the now vacant house, and will be doing DIY and cleaning for the next few days. We have an estate agent (an eXp independent guy again) signed up already and a photographer booked for 27th Dec. We will be on the market 2nd week of January.

Despite now being an ex-landlord, I'll keep reading the forum because you lot are rather lovely and I very much enjoy the banter here.

Do keep commenting when you get a break from sipping martinis at the side of the pool.You're a good sport and you've got experience to share.Good luck x
