Hi Hope you can help because I have a concern.
A friend of ours has moved into a lovely Chapel - only small -  he is the tenant and the property is managed.
But there is only one exit and agress -  the front door - There are windows but the opening is at the top of the window which would be hard to escape in an emergency. I don't think this property should be rented out.

If anyone has any thoughts that would be most appreciated!

Keep a decent-sized hammer and a pair of safety glasses by one of the windows? There's hardly any fire safety legislation covering the actual letting of a property like this, so the question would be whether the conversion complied with building regs.
