Reasonable contract

I am a new Landlord about to rent my first property and have paid an on line solicitors for an AST contract in which I can fill the dates and party details out myself.

I am all for having a watertight contract, but am not convinced if there are clauses which may be impractical for the tenant to adhere to. Ultimately this would just start to reduce the importance of the contract.

The clause I am concerned about states :

"The Tenant:
Must not leave the washing machine and dryers working when there is no one in the Property "

Fine, these are a theoretical fire risk, but one of my own washing cycles takes 3 hours.  What if the tenant wants to put the washing machine on before he goes to work.  Is he really expected to stay in and watch it going round and round?

What do other landlords have in their contract for this type of thing, and, is the above clause reasonable ?

Thanks

It's a bonkers clause.

I have nothing in my AST that even approaches that level of... what is it? ...control, safety-consciousness? I dunno what it is, but it's bonkers.
