Hi

Any advice very gratefully received. I have a family in a house that was part of the husbands contract. They don't pay rent and have been there for over 10 years. The husband has sadly died. Where does this put the family legally? What rights do they have? I can't find the original agreement as it was before my time but as I understand it they don't pay rent so there is no verbal contract? I'm not looking to evict them I just wondered what the situation is in this type of scenario.

What do you mean it was part of the husbands contract(?)...his employment contract (?)
