I reside in the US and I own a home in the UK.  I recently went on Google earth to look in on my property.  I noticed my once beautiful tiled roof is gone!  It is now a regular shingle roof.  Could it be that my letting agent has stolen my tile roof?  If so what recourse should I take?  I also planted 2 apple trees in the backyard.  They are gone as well.

What do I do?

Thanks!

Fly over, hire a helicopter and check for yourself. It's the only way.

Riptide

Roof and tree theft is rife at the moment.  It's almost at pandemic levels.  3 of my friends have come home over the last 6 months to their homes that were missing at least half and in one case 9/10ths of the roof that they had left in the morning perfectly fine.

Stolen, you say? Are you sure they weren't replaced? What you are describing seems totally different to the OP's problem... and much more serious.

When this happens do we call 999, 101 or even 911?

Give a roof thief an apple and he'll have an apple. Give him an apple tree and he'll have as many apples as there are on the tree.

You piss taking bastards.

OP. This picture is from before you bought the property, before you planted the trees.

The picture of my house on Google Earth is at least 12 years old, I know as the grass is cut, and I have lived here 10 years, and haven't cut the grass.
