Has anybody experienced problems with a tenant with Obssessive Cleaning Disorder,? at the start of the tenancy, arthritus disability & a "top up" from the council
discussed, and OCD mentioned as "I will keep the place very clean". Obviously no idea how this impacted on her life, and passed on to myself!!!
Tradesmen calls were very difficult to arrange, despite my very best efforts 2 Boiler Replacement appointments were cancelled by her, and in the middle  of May the Gas Safety Certificate expired, boiler finally fitted on the 31st May -  very concerning, this is just an example of trying to solve numerous queries or concerns!!

I am a pensioner who took the very difficult decision to buy a flat because I had a VERY low pension, for my future....

The tenancy is due to expire in October, and I am now receiving many long upsetting Emails from her i.e. "I promised to replace the bathroom & kitchen" when I would NEVER have done so without the funds! I am a conscientious person and as someone said I have been "more than reasonable" Section 21 has been served. The process is upsetting!!!!!

Thanks Jennifer

Any questions or did you just want to vent your thoughts?

EDIT: Sorry missed the first sentence which was the question.  No is my answer.

October is not that far away. Do you expect the Tenant to leave, willingly, on the expiration of your Section 21, or will they hang on in there?

As you will know, there is no defence against a Section 21 - so you will get rid of this troublesome Tenant... in time. Between now and then I would advise that you read her emails with a lighter-heart and not let them get you down. Most normal people will feel bad when they're being accused of this, that and the other - just try to remember that there is a mental issue here and the person is flawed... don't let it get to you. It's probably easier said than done, but I hope you get luckier with your next Tenant... this one is probably an aberration.

Hopefully there are no deposit failings and your Section 21 is completely valid.

Thank you for your helpful comments, initially for a year I had an excellent tenant. This tenant was the polar opposite.

Thanks again
