Quick question regarding what happens when you get an "unsatisfactory" EICR and then get the work done to make it satisfactory.   My agents say that we have to get a minor works certificate done.  The electrician says we don't and that invoices showing the work as being done suffice.  Does anyone know the actual law on this please?

"(5) Where paragraph (4) applies, a private landlord must—

(a) obtain written confirmation from a qualified person that the further investigative or remedial work has been carried out and that—

(i) the electrical safety standards are met; or

(ii) further investigative or remedial work is required;"
