Hi,

I am leaving my rented property and moving into another house in 9 days. The landlord of the new house is my cousin and the tenant he currently has in there has messed him around so much that in 18m he's had to pay £900 in mortgage charges and has now served her with notice to leave on the 8th of December (he has done it all properly). She's not paid any rent since August and they are desperate to have her out. She was receiving HB and didn't pay her rent but now the homeless team at the council are helping her find something else. She has had 2 months notice and in the last week she has turned down two council flats. NOW I am moving out of my house in 9 days, what can I do if she's not gone? I work and so does my partner so the council won't help us. I'm a flap and worrying that I will be homeless. Any advice would be gratefully received.
