I contacted OpenRent and they (quite reasonably) won't take rental adverts for Scottish properties ["I'm afraid Rent Now is not available in Scotland. Unfortunately, given the Scottish ban on any fees to tenants (even £20 for referencing), and the difference in contracts and more complex regulatory structure, this is not something we can currently support using our Rent Now system."]

Does anyone have any suggestions of agencies that will allow us onto Rightmove for minimal fee in Scotland (i.e avoiding solicitors' extortionate fees?)

Have you tried Upad? They're very good and I believe they advertise in Scotland. There's also a £40 voucher available from the main website
