I'm a first time landlord and have a question on a AST 6 month up front repayment dates.
My tenant moved in and paid 6 months + deposit up front on the 26th of July 2013 which will take her to 26th Jan 2014. She wants to stay and pay another 6 months on another AST and pay all 6 months up front again but I'm unclear as to when she needs to make payment by... Is it  the 26th of January to follow on, or is it in a month in advance which would be 26th of December?

I'm also guessing the new 6 month AST would start from 27th of Jan and I will have to re-register her deposit?

26th January payment date, register and re-issue the deposit paperwork again as a rolling contract, then if this happens again you wont have to do it again.

Thats unless you are issuing a new agreement?

I will be re-issuing another 6 month AST but everything will be kept the same just be changing the dates.
