We rent out a fully furnished house in the UK , i.e. sofa, beds, gas cooker , fridge , dishwasher etc, we have just been informed by the managing agent of the following that the tenant has reported "the washing machine not working. She has been paying for general wear and tear replacements on it for a while and the repairman has said that the drum is near breaking point.
If you could get in touch regarding these issues that would be much appreciated."

Having met the tenant last year whilst I was home I doubt very much that she would be the type to pay for ongoing repairs!

Am I responsible for the cost of repair or replacement ? we did inform the original managing agent that as & when items reached their lifespan we would not be renewing them. Any advice please
