Alliance & Leicester, Coventry Building Society, Abbey National and Godiva Mortgages are all scrapping their 100%+ mortgages this week, leaving just Northern Rock and Birmingham Midshires in the stupid mortgage game. So, if you're shopping for a 125% mortgage, you'd better get moving, moving, moving...

When I looked into 125% mortgages most of them were a bad deal anyway. In the end I got my 100% mortgage from HSBC (because I had been with them since studying at university and had a Graduate account ... I only had about a year left to qualify in fact, if you wait too long you can't get it any more).

I'm sure some deals will still be out there.

Its strange isnt it, i bet you if you really wanted to you could still get a mortgage bespoke to how you want it, you just cannot get it of the high street !
